What is Agrifest ?
Agrifest 2009 is a two-day trade and investment festival that will culminate the annual Agriculture Month activities, to be held on October 30 – 31. This event is a spin-off from the previously held Grow More Food Festival and Guyana Nites, which attracted tens of thousands of attendees.
Why Agrifest ?

The growing activities in the new and emerging agriculture sector present avenues for business development, especially in areas such as value-added products, aquaculture and fruits and vegetables.
's growing telecommunication capabilities and other infrastructure also provide ideal conditions for the expansion of agriculture trade and commerce.
Agrifest will therefore provide a platform from which these activities and potentials can be highlighted, existing agri-business relations strengthened, and new ventures created.
Who will participate?
All agencies and stakeholders within the agriculture sector (fruit & vegetable, crops & livestock, aquaculture, dairy, forestry, rice & sugar) will come together to showcase a combination of products and services which reflect
's ongoing agriculture diversification drive, and the resulting agri-business investment opportunities that exist, and are being created.
The private sector, Caricom member States, as well as contingents from neighbouring , and will also participate in this signature agriculture event, which is expected to attract more than 30,000 attendees over the two-day period.
