Transfer Pricing Conference
Leading Strategies to Boost Your Bottom Line in Today’s Economic Times

Cross-border companies and governments recognize that the international marketplace is becoming much more highly competitive and the planning for the rapid and unanticipated changes in the tax rules are becoming much more complex. Tax savings can be substantial when given the right strategies, but so can the tax liability when penalties are imposed by governments and transfer pricing opportunities are missed.

This conference goes beyond the surface problems of transfer pricing — it will proceed directly to the real issues and developments that tax and finance professionals face in today’s economic times.

Don’t miss the case study workshop where you will learn the latest strategies in formulating an effective transfer pricing strategy. By listening to experts as they take you through a hypothetical case study, and by sharing ideas with other finance and tax professionals, you will learn to develop practical applications to use in your company’s transfer pricing strategy. Early bird and group discounts are available (please see bottom of email).

International Governments are Stepping Up Their Transfer Pricing Audits!

Canada Revenue Agency and other international tax authorities are becoming increasingly concerned that through transfer pricing, multinationals are continually shifting profits to avoid paying taxes. Even small and medium-sized enterprises have not escaped the attention of the tax authorities. As a result, transfer pricing audits are expected to increase substantially to ensure companies stay in compliance, while protecting government revenue streams.

Are you ready and prepared to defend your current transfer pricing structure to Canada Revenue Agency? The session on recent trends in Canada Revenue Agency audits should not be missed. This session will take place on June 4, 2009 from 9:10 am - 10:45 am. The panel will update delegates on the following: contemporaneous documentation as a target; government’s use of outside experts; access to government’s information; negotiating with examiners; and, using APAs to resolve audits.
