TFO Canada invites qualified Canadian buyers to participate in a trade mission to Central America
When: August 30 to September 2, 2017
Are you looking for new suppliers of fresh fruits and vegetables, processed and ethnic foods from Central America?
TFO Canada invites buyers to participate in its Canadian Buyer Trade Mission to Guatemala and EXPOAPEN tradeshow in Nicaragua from August 30 - September 3, 2017.
This five day-agro food sector trade mission begins in Guatemala and concludes your time in the market place at a trade show in Nicaragua.
TFO Canada in partnership with the Guatemalan - Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Producers and Exporters of Nicaragua, the Honduran Chamber of Commerce of Cortes, The Organismo Promotor de las Exportaciones e Inversiones de El Salvador (PROESA) and The Corporacion de Exportadores de El Salvador (COEXPORT) will schedule informatio nsessions and B2B meetings with suppliers from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua.
Selected buyers must arrive in Guatemala City on August 29th, 2017. B2B meetings with Guatemalan exporters (25-30 exporters) will take place on August 30th, 2017, and then we will travel to Managua, Nicaragua to attend EXPOAPEN and participate in B2B meetings with exporters from Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador (approximately 30 exporters).
Air fare and Hotels and some meals will be covered, for the selected participants, by TFO Canada and partners in Central American;
Meals during flying days (August 29, 31 and September 4th), dinner on Wednesday 30th, 2017, and local transportation (taxis) will be covered by the selected participants.
The following products are being promoted by suppliers:
Guatemala: Sweet papaya, sweet pineapple, avocado hass, tangerines, bananas and plantains, blackberries and blueberries, oriental vegetables, honey, cardamom, macadamia and a variety of organic coffees.
El Salvador: Lemon, avocados, specialty coffee, honey, cocoa beans, gourmet processed foods, loroco (edible herbs), dehydrated foods (papaya, mango, plantains).
Honduras: Snacks, coffee, cocoa, processed - frozen beans, oriental vegetables, roots (sweet potato and malanga (taro root)), cantaloupes, frozen vegetables and fruits (plantain, cassava, tropical fruits).
Nicaragua: Conventional and organic honey, specialty coffee, dried organic fruits, fruit pulps, processed peanuts, roots, marmalades, jams, frozen vegetables and fresh fruits.
