Dr. Julie Dai Trang Nguyen holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours Economics from Concordia University (Montréal), a Masters in Economics, and a PhD (2004) in Interdisciplinary Studies and Asian Research both from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver). She was a consultant for the United Nations in Hanoi in 1997, and has worked on many international development projects funded by the Canadian International Development Agency, the International Development Research Centre, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, as well as a research on women’s entrepreneurship in Vietnam funded by the Asia-Pacific Foundation of Canada in the Southeast Asia Business Research program in 1998.
