New Executive Director at TFOC

TFOC’s Board of Directors has named Brian Mitchell as the new Executive Director of TFOC, effective August 1st , 2007. Brian takes over from Dwayne Wright who retired July 31, 2007 after serving as Executive Director of TFOC for 6 years.
Brian is very familiar with TFOC and its operations, having been the Director of the organization’s African programs for the past three years. Prior to joining TFOC, Brian’s career was primarily in the private sector. His experience includes running his own consultancy practice, serving as the CFO of a Canadian software firm, managing international sales and establishing a European subsidiary. In the late 80’s, Brian was a lecturer (as a CUSO cooperant) at the Institute of Public Administration & Management, University of Sierra Leone. He has also served on the volunteer board of Canadian Crossroads International.
Brian has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, and a Master of Science (Economics) from London School of Economics. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
