ATTENTION IMPORTERS: TFO Canada Buyer Mission to Guyana, May 12-15, 2014

TFO Canada in cooperation with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture (IICA) and the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) is organizing a buyer mission to visit Guyana from May 12 to 15, 2014. TFO Canada will be choosing and accompanying a select group of buyers to attend the mission.


The Mission's Objective is Twofold:


1. IICA and GMSA in cooperation with TFO Canada has pre-selected seven small and medium sized companies (processors and producers) deemed suitable for the Canadian market and you will have the opportunity to meet with these companies to provide them with valuable feedback on Canadian market trends, conditions and product adaptation required for successful market entry. The companies are in the processed food sector.
Description of the products:  Hot Sauce, Green Seasoning, Chinese sauce (Seasoning sauce), Sauces and pickles, tropical jams and jellies, cherry juice, fruit punch juice, orange juice, and coconut water.


2. You will benefit from the following:
• An agenda of meetings with the selected ten Guyanese SMEs, part of TFO Canada – IICA and GMSA export assistance program.
• Access to key trade and business support organizations (who can assist in follow-up and developing your business with Guyanese suppliers);
• CDN $1200 contribution towards your travel expenses;
• Assistance with the hotel reservation at corporate rates
• On site presence of the TFO Canada representative


Suggested date of arrival in Georgetown May 11, 2014 (You will be back in Canada by May 16th evening unless you prefer to prolong your stay)
