TFO Canada has completed its recruitment for the position of Program Director and is pleased to announce that Ms. Ainsley Butler has joined the organization in this management role. Most recently Ms. Butler was Chief Investment Officer with Building Markets an NGO headquartered in Ottawa and New York which helps local businesses in developing countries such as Afghanistan and Haiti, supply goods and services to international organisations operating in their country (e.g. United Nations, donors such as USAID, NATO, etc.).
At TFO Canada, Ms. Butler will oversee all of TFO’s Canadian market access and related capacity building activities, including TFO Canada’s trade information services. In announcing her appointment, TFO Canada’s Executive Director stated that “Ms. Butler’s nine years of experience in senior management roles at Building Markets and the complementary nature of their activities, will enable her to make an excellent contribution to TFO Canada and to the developing country exporters and trade support organisations we serve”. In performing her responsibilities, Ms. Butler will work closely with TFO Canada’s seasoned Project Managers, Regional Representatives and Associates, and she will also be responsible for expanding the team as TFO Canada plans to broaden its service capacity and capacity building activities.
