Re-Energizing Canada抯 International Trade: Strategies for Post-Recession SuccessTuesday, February 16, 2010 > 13:21:21
Our newest report, Re-Energizing Canada’s International Trade: Strategies for Post-Recession Success, was released yesterday [Thursday].
The report examines why Canada’s international trade cannot be taken for granted. Global trade can be expected to rebound as the recovery takes hold and demand resumes. But recovery does not necessarily spell future trade success for Canada. The author, Anne Park Shannon focuses on such ‘tools’ as a more competitive use of foreign direct investment, trade diversification outside of the U.S., a look at imports and regional and global value chains. Three shifts in policy direction are explored.
