Angola: Cabinda to Gain Dry PortMonday, December 15, 2014 > 11:28:00
The northern province of Cabinda will soon gain a dry port so as to reduce dependency faced by local importers in relation to the Republic of Congo Brazaville.
So, the governor of Cabinda, Aldina da Lomba Catembo, accompanied by a group of investors, visited the land plot chosen to build the undertaking, in the Massabi commune, Cacongo municipality.
The dry port will serve to store and clear out the containers of the traders that operate in the region, thus contributing to the development of the provincial.
At the end of the field visit, the CEO of Multiparques, Leonel da Rocha Pinto, said to the press that at this time the conditions are created to start implementing the project.
Leonel Rocha Pinto stated that the construction of the dry port in Cabinda will also make easier the local importers' work that still depend on the neighbouring Republic of Congo Brazaville.
