Going through a customs audit can be a disruptive and stressful experience. Don’t be caught unprepared! Knowing what to expect and doing your homework can save your company a substantial amount of money. This seminar will discuss the preparation necessary to ensure a successful outcome to a CBSA audit.

New U.S. CPSC Requirements
New mandatory U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) import documentation requirements take effect November 12, 2008. All shipments of consumer goods must be accompanied by a certificate of conformity. This seminar will present an overview of the new requirements.
 
The Speaker
Glenn A. Cickello is the Director of Sandler & Travis Trade Advisory Services’ (STTAS) Canadian Trade Practice. He manages the firm’s Ottawa office. Mr. Cickello has extensive knowledge of Canadian customs regulations and trade policies, particularly in the apparel, textile and industrial goods sectors. Mr. Cickello is recognized as an expert concerning Rules of Origin under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), having lectured extensively on the subject and other international trade matters. Other areas of expertise include Valuation, Duties Relief, Appeals, and Compliance. He has successfully represented clients before the CBSA, the Department of Finance, and U.S. Customs Service on customs and trade matters.
