India International Trade Fair’2008 (IITF’08)
India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the premier trade promotion agency of the Government of India is organizing the 28th edition of it's annual mega-event, India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi during November 14-27, 2008 which has evolved into Asia's largest show of its kind. This event is an ideal opportunity for Indian & overseas exhibitors for showcasing and launching their new products and reinforcing existing brands.
Based on the feedback of previous year’s exhibitors, we have earmarked the first half (From 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon) for business visitors only. The fair is open to general public after 12 o’clock and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.The business hours of the fair give participating companies a platform to interact and to do business with the overseas trade delegations, Indian business houses and also an opportunity for vendor development.
The event showcases achievements and technological advancement of companies for a wide range of products and services related to engineering, automobiles, electronics, home appliances, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, processed food, leather, textiles, telecommunications, jute, rubber, handicrafts, jewellery, consumer goods, etc. This multi-product fair has evolved over the past 27 years into a platform for facilitating trade transactions and technological absorption over a wide spectrum of industry.
To mark its 28th year, this mega event will have "Women Empowerment” and “Infrastructure" as special themes. Orissa is the Partner State, Kerala is the Focus State and Pakistan is the partner country of this event. There is also large participation from FMCGs, White Goods, Automotives other Sectors. ‘IITF 2008' is expected to attract over 7,500 exhibitors along with participation from 35 countries in an area of 1,20,000 sq.mtr.
IITF’2007 witnessed a whopping turnover of 3 million general visitors, 2,75,000 business visitors and 1210 business delegates from 90 countries. The visitor profile covers captains of trade and industry, foreign emissaries, decision makers, policy makers, and media persons.
