Are you a small or medium enterprise in the agriculture or forestry sectors? Are you trying to grow your business and are looking for sources of funding?

TFO Canada in partnership with the Finance Alliance for Sustainable Trade (FAST) invites you to participate in an upcoming webinar on FAST’s new Platform AXiiS - Access and eXchange for Impact Investment and Sustainability. Through AXiiS, small holder producers, cooperatives, private companies, processors will have the possibility to search for financial products and services, tailored by sector and country, in order to grow and expand their businesses.

FAST works with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) involved in the agriculture and forestry sectors to enhance their level of credit readiness and their capacity to access finance. This webinar will empower SMEs in finding ways to finance their international trading plans. Register to learn more about this platform.


Sergio Figueredo is the FAST Project Manager in charge of the development of FAST Online Financial Access Platform (OFAP), in which collection, aggregation and analysis of FSP and SME’s data can be gathered. The Platform will concentrate FAST main services in facilitating access to within the agriculture and forestry sectors. Sergio will also be responsible to build local capacity, support SMEs involved in the cocoa sector in El Salvador to be credit ready and be linked with FSPs through OFAP.
Sergio brings an education background in Economics, International Politics and Project Management. He carries over seven years of experience in business development, finance and investment relations for international banks, non-profits, financial institutions of development and NGOs. His interest in sustainable development and social investments has inspired him to volunteered with several development organizations and sit on the Board of Directors of Sustainable Concordia University.

Matt Whiteman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Geography and Political Science, as well as a Master’s degree in International Development Ethics, both from the University of British Columbia. His graduate research focused on host community perspectives on hosting young international volunteers, and he conducted fieldwork in Western Kenya. Matt worked at the University of British Columbia for seven years in a variety of roles, including as an administrator in many faculties; as Coordinator for the Jump Start Program, the university’s transition and orientation program for all first year international and Aboriginal students, and as Coordinator of a research project exploring the ethics of international engagement and service-learning. Matt joined FAST in 2016 as a Project Manager for FAST's activities in the Caribbean region.
