TFO Canada is excited to have the opportunity to support Women-Led Small and Medium Enterprises from the Andean Region in their efforts to export to the Canadian Market through the new project COMPETE – “Creating Opportunities Through Market Participation and Economic and Trade Empowerment for Women-Led Small and Medium Enterprises in the Andean Region”, with the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Global Affairs Canada.

This report reflects our enduring commitment to inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries through trade. Amid rising protectionism, disrupted supply chains, and shifting global priorities, trade is more complex and more critical than ever. TFO Canada’s work has never been more relevant.
In 2024–2025, we deepened our engagement with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), helping them build capacity, expand their reach, and forge meaningful connections in Canadian and international markets. Through targeted training, tailored support services, and strategic partnerships, we supported hundreds of entrepreneurs – especially women and youth – to grow their sales, enhance their competitiveness, and navigate today’s evolving trade landscape.
Our impact is reflected in the resilience of SMEs and their adoption of inclusive and sustainable practices. By championing gender equality and green trade, we continue to reimagine trade as a force for equity, opportunity, and long-term prosperity.
